Soléi Sea Supports Education Rocks

As part of our mission, we give back. One of the primary reasons we founded Soléi was to have a definitive way to contribute to women and children around the globe. Recently, we teamed up with the nonprofit organization Education Rocks to send shoes to the girls they sponsor in Bali, Indonesia.

What is Education Rocks?
Education Rocks is a Global Leadership Program that began in 2010 when the first US sponsor supported the cost of a child’s schooling in Bali, Indonesia. Since then, they have grown with schools across the US. They now have nearly a thousand sponsors supporting the education of nearly a thousand children in several developing countries.

Why Education Rocks?
Education is a way out of poverty, however many children around the world don’t have access to it. Education Rocks believes that if every school-aged child in the US sponsors the education of a child in a developing nation, we could eradicate the cycle of poverty around the world.

How does it work?
Education Rocks believes that their work changes the world, 2 kids at a time. They do this by having a US sponsor (child) create their own fundraising platform and commit to raising $365 for a year of school for their student.

How does Education Rocks help a child in the US?
By participating in fundraising and connecting with the child they’re sponsoring in another country, a kid in the US is involved and present. They are able to communicate with each other through letters and artwork exchange forming real friendships and lasting relationships.
